Overview
Money Manager is Credit Genie's personal finance tool, found in the Finances tab of the app. It's currently in Beta. Use it to see where your money goes, spot recurring charges, and plan ahead with spending and cash flow estimates.
Money Manager is an educational tool. It offers estimates and insights to help you understand your money — it does not provide financial advice.
Find Money Manager
Tap Finances in the bottom navigation bar to get started. You'll find five tools:
| Feature | What It Does |
| Insights | Shows spending patterns and alerts based on your transaction history. |
| Cashflow | Estimates your income and expenses over the next 30 days, based on your past activity. |
| Outlook | A summary of your recent financial picture, estimated from your spending and income patterns. It is not a credit score, and it does not affect your credit. |
| Subscriptions | Detects recurring charges and alerts you when a price goes up (Credit Genie can't cancel subscriptions for you). |
| Budget | Set monthly spending targets by category and get alerts as you get close. |
| Low balance alerts | Notifies you when your balance drops below a threshold you set. |
How Does It Work?
Money Manager reads transactions from your linked bank account (connected through Plaid) and assigns spending categories automatically. Your insights cover that 1 linked account only. Credit card spending appears only if those payments flow through your linked bank account.
Forecasts and insights are estimates based on your transaction history. Actual amounts and dates may differ.
| Heads up: Money Manager requires an active Credit Genie Membership and a linked bank account. |
Your data only helps you — we use it to power your insights, not to judge you.
